Building Your Brand

Happy Thursday! With my recent revamp of my blog site, I thought I would share some insight on how you can build YOUR brand on multiple online platforms.

Branding is something to start thinking about as social media continues to grow in popularity. It's no secret that it is getting harder and harder to stand out in the crowd of other profiles.
I've decided to break this post up into different platforms so you can find the one that is most related to you!

1. Instagram Highlights are a super easy to way to build your brand on your Instagram profile. You can create these in Instagram story mode or head to Canva.com and create your own for free! This will help make your profile look put together and diverse in look compared to other's profile pages! Find your color scheme and choose similar colors to use in your highlight cover photos!

Want to know how to figure out your color scheme? Watch the video below where I show you how I did it using my page! After doing this activity, I know that I could use more blue/green tones or more neutral colors for my highlights.

2. Twitter is another platform that you can easily create a personal brand on! Take a look at your recent pins and see what the topics are! Are you tweeting political comments, motivational quotes, creative focused content? If you are tweeting about a bunch of different topics, consider focusing on one or two to really create your personal brand.

3. Pinterest is one of my personal favorites when it comes to online platforms. If you've been reading my latest posts, you'll see I am always talking about Pinterest and my experience with building my page to over 800k monthly viewers. Pinterest is similar to Instagram in the photo sense but your brand on Pinterest, in my opinion, is easier to form.

Look at what kind of pins you are interested in and what color scheme they have. To make your page more aesthetically pleasing, pin content that is about the same topic or looks similar to each other. Check out my Pinterest here to see what mine looks like for some inspiration!
